On the 13th February 18 children went to The Lakes School to compete in the Key Steps Gymnastic competition. After weeks of hard work the children could finally show that they had learnt their difficult routines. We are still awaiting the results but we were all very proud of everyone’s effort on the day.
The Year 1 and 2 children visited St Mary’s church for a mock Christening lead by Rev Woodcock. Below are some pictures of the baby, the Parents and the God Parents.
Today we are celebrating Chinese New Year at school. We are learning how to say hello, goodbye and how are you?
Despite the cold weather the Year 5&6 children are outside enjoying their football session delivered by Tom, the FA coach!
The children have been using the gym equipment for 2 weeks. Will their beat that scores be higher this week because they are physically fitter?!!
The Year 5&6 children have been designing posters to remind people that bullying is not acceptable. Some children chose to draw their posters whilst others used their computing skills to insert pictures. All the children wanted to get the same message across though – bullying is not acceptable.

As part of our topic work the children are exploring how information books are set out. Today they have been looking at the contents pages of Victorian books and trying to find simple snippets of information.
The KS1 children have enjoyed their turns on the exercise machines. Some of the children look very tired indeed!
The Year 3&4 class have been making the most of the fitness equipment today. They look fitter already!
