On Thursday, 15th June, the Years 5/6 went on a visit to Lancaster Castle! Their guide, Cameron, was absolutely fantastic, telling tales of the Pendle witch trials, crimes and punishments throughout the ages. We got to see the original castle walls, built in the 12th century; dungeons and chains that convicts would have worn in the 18/19th Century on the walk to London for deportation to Australia; all the way through to the modern cells that were used just up to a couple of years ago. We even had a few squeals of fear when we got locked in the dungeons!!
Lots more photos to see on our school Flickr!!
