As part of our Forrest schools and 100 Mile Challenge, the EYFS children headed out in the sunshine to hike around Crosthwaite. The weather was beautiful, though the path was a bit muddy, and we looked at identifying flowers, blossoms and trees, and the children even spotted animal tracks on the path. We took part in a texture hunt, egg hunt, and animal homes investigation and looking for hidden jewels. The children certainly deserved their hot chocolate when they got to the playground!! It certainly has been a fantastic start to their 100 Mile Challenge….. only 98 more to go!! Well done little hikers!!
